Animal Ethics Group Workshop

Course description

Flinders University expects all new staff, honours and postgraduate students working with animals in teaching or research to participate in an Animal Ethics Group Workshop.


This session will cover:
  • Animal ethics
  • Animal Welfare Committee (AWC) operating procedures and terms of reference
  • ANZCCART
  • Register for projects not requiring animal ethics guidelines
  • Common scenarios
  • Ethics application trouble shooting

Who should attend

Flinders University expects all new staff, honours and postgraduate students working with animals in teaching or research to participate in an Animal Ethics Group workshop.


New staff who have significant previous experience may be granted an exemption upon application. Please contact animal.welfare@flinders.edu.au for more information.

  • How to correctly fill in an application
  • If the project requires a full ethics approval or listing on the 'register'
