Introduction to Sessional Teaching

Course description

This two part course is intended to introduce new casual teaching staff to their roles and responsibilities and to provide some fundamental skills to assist student learning.

• Part 1 is an online module.  Enrol at:

• Part 2 can be done as a face-to-face workshop (enrol in grey box opposite) OR online (link available on completion of Part 1)

Completion of Part 1 online is a prerequisite for attendance at Part 2

Who should attend

Sessional staff who teach in small group interactive sessions such as tutorials and workshops, are required to deliver occasional lectures and/or those who are interested in strategies that will help them provide targeted support to a diverse group of students.

Prerequisites / assumed knowledge

Completion of Part 1 (online) is a prerequisite for attendance at Part 2.
