ARC Pitching Session
Course description
Are you aiming to apply for a Australian Research Council (ARC) grant?
Join us for a relaxed and informal pitching session where you can share your research ideas with members of the ARC College of Experts. This is a great opportunity to receive constructive feedback in a supportive environment, helping you to refine and develop your research proposal for either a Future Fellowship, Discovery Projects EOI or a DECRA application.
What to Expect:- Pitch Your Ideas: You’ll have 10 minutes to present your research ideas. No need for them to be fully polished or complete.
- Receive Friendly Feedback: Get up to 10 minutes of personalised feedback from the experts.
- Learn from Peers: Gain insights by listening to your colleagues’ pitches and the feedback they receive
Your pitch should cover:
- The Problem: What issue are you addressing and why is it significant?
- Research Questions: What are your key questions and how will you tackle them?
- Impact: How could this research benefit Australia?
- Your Role: Why are you the ideal person to lead this research?
We also have spots available for people who want to watch the pitching session without participating (e.g. research support staff; those strategising for future applications). Please contact us (researcherpd.rds@flinders.edu.au) to secure your spot in the audience.
These sessions will be held in person at Bedford Park. If you are a rural or remote researcher and you would like to pitch, please contact us.
If you have any questions, please email researcherpd.rds@flinders.edu.au.
