Course description

Have you ever felt challenged, confused or misunderstood in what you felt was a simple straight forward interaction? Have you ever left an interaction wondering why it all went wrong and didn’t know why?

Reflecting upon the inspiring stories from our own international student community  through ‘In the Frame - Voice of International Students’ this session will provide a series of fun and practical case studies in cultural awareness, cultural adaptability and intercultural bridging.

Join our Cross-Cultural expert Mr Robert Bean, from Robert Bean Intercultural, and panel for an insightful Q & A session using real Flinders University examples and hypotheticals on cultural intelligence and its importance in our diverse and dynamic multicultural environment at Flinders University.

The session will feature a panel of Flinders professional and academic staff working through day to day student interaction case studies and sharing their experiences, tips and strategies that can assist in preventing cultural misunderstandings and maximising the opportunities that our culturally diverse community has to offer.
