Ready to start designing your Flinders Online topic?
This hands-on workshop is designed for Topic Coordinators whose topics are part of the Flinders Online project. Participants will explore what it means to design for a fully asynchronous online learning environment and examine the key elements that shape the Flinders Online student experience.
Through guided activities and practical examples, participants will work through their own topic design, considering the assessment, module structure, learning activities, and facilitation strategies. The workshop will provide opportunities to apply design concepts directly to participants' topics while exploring how learning experiences can be structured to support engagement, flexibility, and student success in an online environment.
By the end of the session, participants will have made progress on the design of their topic, developed a clearer vision for the student experience, and identified practical next steps for working with their Learning Designer throughout the Flinders Online development process.
The workshop is delivered as a 60-minute facilitated session, followed by an optional 30-minute working period where participants can continue developing their topic design with support from a Learning Designer.
