Facilitation in online asynchronous topics

Course description

Increasingly our learners are looking for opportunities to learn when and where they want (anytime and anywhere). One way to do this is through Flinders Online. For academics, facilitating topics in an asynchronous learning environment presents unique challenges and opportunities.

This session will explore principles and strategies for facilitating an online asynchronous environment.

The session will cover principles and techniques to monitor and build student engagement and learning communities in an online asynchronous topic. This includes selection of tools and learning technologies to build a sense of presence and provide feedback without synchronous sessions.
