H5P: Creating interactive activities for student engagement

Course description

What does H5P stand for? How can you use it? What is meant by student engagement? This session will seek to demystify H5P and provide a way in to start creating activities. The facilitator will address the pedagogy behind using this form of interactive content.

The session will cover three main areas:

  • Creating activities for students to apply their learning
  • H5P Top 10 and how they were chosen
  • What do we mean by student engagement

This session will provide overview of H5P as it is implemented in Canvas. There will be examples that you can use to create activities for your students and thought starters for adding this type of content to your online courses.
