HDR Induction Seminar

Course description

Flinders University considers formal induction to be an invaluable introduction to life as a HDR student. The HDR Induction Seminar is the second part of the mandatory HDR induction process, and is held twice a year.

At the HDR Induction Seminar, you will hear from the Pro-Vice Chancellor Research Training and Capabilities and Dean of Graduate Research, Professor Tim Cavagnaro, about top tips on getting off to a good start. You will then hear from the HDR Education Coordinator on the processes and requirements of our candidature, and be introduced to the different teams in the OGR that will look after you. The Seminar ends with a panel of existing and past HDR students, who share their experiences of a HDR at Flinders.

PrerequisitesYou are expected to have completed the HDR Online Induction prior to attending the Induction Seminar. You can access the Online Induction here https://www.flinders.edu.au/research/researcher-development/hdr/hdr-induction

This Seminar will be run in person on the main campus in Bedford Park, with a Teams option for those who cannot be physically present. If you need the link, please contact researcher.development@flinders.edu.au
