Introduction to Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property

Course description

True Tracks® is a professional development workshop that will be tailored to support Flinders University in ethical and effective engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

True Tracks® is a methodology aimed to build understanding of Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP).

This session will focus on:

  • working through the True Tracks® framework to upskill academics in best practice in teaching, research, and collaboration
  • how to respectfully use Indigenous knowledges, art, or language in curriculum or research.

This workshop will be delivered by Annika Valenti, Special Counsel, and Emma Fitch, Senior Solicitor, Terri Janke & Company.
