AusSMC (Science Media Centre) Interview Bootcamp

Course description

Practice makes perfect, so there's no better way to prepare for media interviews than by doing a mock interview and getting real-time feedback!

This in-depth workshop allows experts to pitch their story and receive feedback ahead of the session before sitting down to receive expert analysis and guidance from Dr Joe Milton, whose interview subjects as a professional journalist included celebrated conservationist Dame Jane Goodall and Nobel laureate and inventor of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Kary Mullis.

Joe has also been a regular guest on ABC radio for more than a decade, so he has extensive experience of preparing to be interviewed and being in the hotseat himself.

Detailed, written feedback on the mock interviews will also be provided after the event.
