Cited, Seen, and Shared: Growing the Impact of Your Research

Course description

This session helps researchers get their work into the hands of the people who need to read it. Suitable at any career stage, it offers practical strategies to increase research visibility, use, and impact.

Led by Flinders’ Library Specialist (Scholarly Communication) Hannah Foster, the session focuses on improving access, discoverability, and engagement so your research can reach the right audiences. You’ll also get a practical overview of open access options at Flinders, including:

  • publishing open access: options and pathways
  • using institutional and disciplinary repositories
  • publisher policies and funder requirements

See how wider access can provide clearer evidence of research uptake—often reflected in more diverse citation patterns that are increasingly relevant for grants and reporting. The workshop introduces simple, effective ways to share your work responsibly, such as:

  • researcher profiles and persistent identifiers
  • good post-publication sharing practices

This session will be run online via MS Teams. A link will be sent to you via calendar invitation prior to the session.
