Exploring how sustainability can enrich teaching and learning at Flinders - PLTA Event
Course description
Join Jikke Adema and Julie Huynh for an interactive session exploring how sustainability can enrich teaching and learning at Flinders.
The session will:
- Set the scene – What sustainability means, why it matters for our students, staff, and the wider world, and how Flinders is already leading in this space.
- Engage through activities – including Julie’s popular “bin game” to get us thinking about everyday actions.
- Look to the curriculum – how sustainability connects with our teaching, what’s already happening across Flinders, and opportunities for future integration.
- Share our practice – a glimpse into the day-to-day work of the Sustainability team, from decarbonisation and waste projects to student engagement, rankings, and partnerships.
This will be a practical, discussion-focused session. Come ready to share ideas and explore how sustainability might link with your own work.
