NHMRC Ideas Grants: Key considerations for a strong application

Course description

This session will prepare you to apply for a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Ideas Grant.

Presented by Dr Rui Hoo, Research Development Director (Health), this session will provide an overview of the key considerations for a strong NHMRC Ideas Grant application including tips for:

  • How to get started,
  • How to bring together a strong team,
  • How to structure your proposal, and
  • How to write your application.

Rui will be joined by successful NHMRC Ideas recipients and peer reviewer panel members, who will share their experiences with applying for NHMRC opportunities and offer advice to applicants.

All researchers who are applying for an Ideas Grant in 2024 are encouraged to attend. 

For NHMRC Ideas Grants guidelines and eligibility as well as guidance on how to use the Sapphire system to submit your application, please join this session.

There will be time for questions and discussion.

This session will be run online via MS Teams. A link will be sent to you via calendar invitation prior to the session.
