NHMRC: Writing for a large-scale grant

Course description

Are you interested in applying for grants to support large-scale, multi-year programs of research, such as NHMRC Investigator grants or Synergy grants?

Please join us for this session with Nicole Thompson from Research Advantage Consulting, who will provide advice on how to move beyond project-based grant applications to large-scale grant applications.

In this session, Nicole will cover:

  • How to scale from a 3-year research project to a 5-year program of research (or more).
  • What researchers can do to ensure they are ready for large-scale grant applications.
  • Advice for troubleshooting your research program, including balancing innovation and feasibility, hitting the grant criteria, and planning the outputs of your research program.

There will also be an opportunity for Q&A at the end of the session.

This session will be run via MS Teams and a link will be sent to you prior to the session. This session will not be recorded, but the slides will be available to attendees.

Please contact researcherpd.rds@flinders.edu.au if you have any questions.
