Ensuring Positive First Weeks in Semester 1

Course description

In this workshop you will consider the student experience in partial and fully online environments over the past two years of the pandemic, and which strategies work best for their learning and well-being. We will discuss the best ways to ensure effective, positive communication with all student groups, encompassing:

  • remote learning,
  • hybrid sessions, and
  • blends of in person and online learning
  • and the use of synchronous and asynchronous learning

This workshop is one of a series of mini workshops with key tips and principles for ensuring students have a positive learning experience early in Semester 1, 2022. As we begin the semester, how do we make careful decisions around utilising FLO to the maximum benefit of students studying remotely? What arrangements can be made for content and activity that is required to be delivered in person?
