ARC DECRA & Future Fellowship - How to write a successful application

Course description

This session will prepare you for an ARC fellowship application by teaching you how to:

  • Benchmark yourself against other successful fellowship applicants,
  • Build your track record,
  • Understand career interruptions and how they impact your eligibility, and
  • Design a competitive project

It will address how to choose Field of Research codes and write applications sections including:

  • The National Interest Test Statement
  • ROPE, and
  • Budget and Justifications

In addition, the support offered by the University through the DVC(R), College and Research Development and Support will be explained.

A panel of Fellowship recipients including Dr Tully Barnett (CHASS), A/Prof Karin Nordstrom (CMPH), Prof Gavin Prideaux (CSE) and Dr Oren Griffith (CEPSW) will be sharing their insights and answering questions.

Flinders’ Research Community based in rural and remote locations will be able to access and participate in the workshop. Please indicate if you are from a rural or remote location when enrolling or contact Kirsty de Ruyter at researcherpd.rds@flinders.edu.au.
