Surveying with Qualtrics for Researchers

Course description

This course introduces the technical components of Qualtrics, from building a survey to analysing the results.

This hands-on training is designed for beginners in Qualtrics, guiding them through the complete lifecycle of a survey project using the Qualtrics online platform. You will learn to format a sample survey and configure it using a range of design features to improve user experience. The course covers how to decide which distribution channel is right for your needs, ensuring that you understand the available data analysis and export options in Qualtrics to effectively manage your research data.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Evaluate the suitability of Qualtrics for specific projects
  • Construct surveys using different question types, piped text, and skip and display logic
  • Customise the participant experience using survey flows, look and feel settings, and survey tools
  • Select survey distribution methods and analyse and visualise survey results.

Prerequisites:
Log into Qualtrics via OKTA.

Delivered by Intersect, training will be conducted via Zoom. A Zoom link will be shared with registrants a week before the training date.

About your Facilitator:
Dr Ankit Beniwal is Intersect’s Digital Research Analyst (DRA) for Flinders University in 2026. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Adelaide and has held multiple post-doctoral positions in Europe. His technical expertise includes Python and R, complemented further by proficiency in qualitative research tools like Qualtrics, NVivo, REDCap, etc.
