Video is now a vital component in telling the stories of research. This session will teach you how to plan, shoot and edit video using only a smartphone.
If a picture is worth 1,000 words, then, at 25 pictures per second, video is a priceless tool for communicating in the booming online world. No longer just the domain of TV, online media uses video, graphics and animation to grab attention, help explain complex ideas, and to share stories through social media channels. In addition, journal publishers are increasingly asking for video abstracts to accompany research papers.
As demand for video has soared, it’s become easier than ever for researchers to produce footage and professional-quality film can now be created using a smartphone.
