ARC Discovery Projects: From EOI to full application

Course description

This session is designed for researchers who need to turn their successful Expression of Interest (EOI) into a full application for ARC Discovery Projects (DP25). All researchers and research support staff are welcome to join as the advice will be valuable for future Discovery Project rounds.

Presented by Nicole Thompson, Research Advantage Consulting, this session will cover:

  • Overview and drivers for the scheme
  • ARC DP EOI and full application phases
  • Troubleshooting the Project Description:
    - Project Quality and Innovation (Significance/gap; Innovation; Research Questions; Project Design; International Collaboration)
    - Feasibility
    - Benefit
    - Communication of Results
  • ARC’s new Capability Statement
  • National Interest Test (NIT)
  • Take-home messages for writing a strong application
