ARC Discovery Projects EOI Pitching Session for CHASS/CEPSW/CBGL
Course description
Are you applying for a Discovery Project from the Australian Research Council (ARC)? If so, we encourage you to pitch your research project to members of the ARC College of Experts. They will provide constructive feedback to improve the clarity and conciseness of your pitch and to help you develop a stronger research project for your application.
In this pitching session, you will have an opportunity to pitch your project and to learn from your colleagues as you listen to their pitches and feedback. Each researcher will have 5 minutes to pitch their project and up to 10 minutes to receive feedback.
Your pitch should cover:
- What problem are you addressing and why is it important?
- What are your key research questions and how will you answer them?
- How might this research benefit Australia?
- Who is in your team and why?
We have a limited number of spots available for pitchers—please register now to secure your spot. If you have registered and can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can open your spot to another researcher.
We also have spots available for people who want to watch the pitching session without participating (e.g., research support staff; those strategising for future applications). Please contact us (researcherpd.rds@flinders.edu.au) to secure your spot in the audience.
This session will be held in person at the Alere Function Centre, L2, Student Hub. If you are a rural or remote researcher and you would like to pitch, please contact us.
Please note: This iEnrol is for researchers from CHASS, CEPSW or CBGL. If you are from one of the other Colleges and would like to participate, you can register via this iEnrol instead.
If you think you are better suited to pitch to the other Colleges’ panel because your research aligns with a Field of Research (FOR) code that traditionally sits outside your College, please contact us at researcherpd.rds@flinders.edu.au.
