How to write multiple choice questions for higher-level thinking

Course description

Are you attracted to using multiple choice questions (MCQs) but associate them with simple recall?  This workshop will show you how MCQs can be used to assess higher level thinking.  We will look at guidelines for writing good MCQs and you will have the opportunity to write and review questions for your topic.  Come along with your Topic Learning Outcomes and some questions that you currently ask you students - they do not have to be MCQs and could come from quizzes, assignments, exams, lecture comprehension feedback prompts, etc.
