Student-centred HDR supervision

Course description

As the current winner of the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in HDR Supervision, Professor Paul Ward, College of Medicine and Public Health, will present a one-hour seminar on student-centred supervision.

Professor Ward’s supervisory philosophy is based on clear principles that ‘involve having clear learning aims and objectives for achievement, fostering a supportive student-centred learning environment, providing regular, timely and constructive feedback to students, which enables their learning, and inspiring students through creative and imaginative strategies’.
