How to Bring Your Research to Life using Animation Tools

Course description

Animations are an excellent tool for capturing the public's attention and making your research more understandable. They combine the power of visual representation and verbal explanation, ensuring your message is both engaging and clear.

In this session, Traci Klarenbeek, Digital Media Advisor, will provide an overview of Audacity, a free audio recording and editing software, and VideoScribe, an easy, web-based, whiteboard-style animation tool.

This session will cover:

  • the basics on how to record and edit with Audacity so you can create your own voiceover ready for your animation.
  • an explainer on using VideoScribe with your new voiceover, selecting graphics and building your own animation with this simple tool.
For the best experience during this session, we recommend using two screens.

This session will be run via MS Teams. A link will be sent to you via calendar invitation prior to the session. A reminder will be sent out prior to the session to register for a free 7-day Videoscribe trial.
