IBM SPSS - Advanced: Programming in IBM SPSS (Syntax, Macros, Custom Dialogs and R programmability extensions)

Course description

THIS COURSE WILL BE DELIVERED IN THE COMPUTER LAB AS WELL AS VIA WEB CONFERENCE. WHILE ENROLLING PLEASE SELECT “REMOTE PARTICIPANT” FOR ONLINE ONLY DELIVERY. 

Upon extending the university’s IBM SPSS site licence with additional modules this workshop aims to briefly introduce statistical methods which are covered by these new additions. The modules which will be introduced are: Decision Tree, Neural Networks, Data Preparation, Direct Marketing and Bootstrapping. Additionally, IBM SPSS Python and R programmability extensions will be also presented.

Prerequisites / assumed knowledge

Preferably participants should attend Introduction to SPSS and Introduction to Statistical Analysis (or have an understanding of concepts/skills covered in those two introductory courses) before enrolling in this workshop.
