Short Intensive Program for Off-Campus Students

Course description

This two-day intensive course is for external students who want to develop their research higher degree skills and who can be at Flinders
University on the 3rd and 4th of December. The program draws from the full range of Research Higher Degree Professional Development courses
offered by the Student Learning Centre and condenses them into a two day intensive format.

The provisional program will contain sessions on:



  • Critical thinking

  • Writing a literature review

  • Reading and Evaluating Quantitative and Qualitative Research Articles

  • Thesis writing for social sciences

  • Time management

  • Keeping up with current research

  • Accessing the grey literature

  • Getting published in scholarly journals
