Career Development and Leadership 2-day Intensive Workshop

Course description

As a research higher degree candidate, you may not have had opportunities to assume a formal leadership position. Nonetheless, leadership skills are required for success in today’s times. How do you bridge this apparent gap before embarking on your career?

This intensive two-day workshop will explore what it means to be a leader and how to assess and develop your own leadership potential.


This workshop will cover the following 4 sessions over 2 consecutive days:
  1. Exploring Leadership for PhD Candidates
  2. Leading with Your I’s: Improving Inter- and Intra-personal Skills
  3. Planning What to Be With a PhD
  4. Putting your PhD to work
