TRIM (Content Manager) - Advanced User Course

Course description

Have you been using TRIM (Content Manager) for a while, but are you always wondering what else the system can do?  Get more out of TRIM with tips and tricks for advanced users.

The purpose of this course is to refresh the memories of TRIM users on how to use the software to their advantage in the most efficient manner. It will also provide extra tips and tricks for the easier use of TRIM.

All Flinders Staff who currently have access to, and actively use, TRIM (Content Manager).

What you will learn

There are a lot of topics we can cover as part of advanced training, however we are unable to cover everything in a short training course.  We ask users to choose what they would like us to focus on as part of the training from the list of topics below:

  • Advanced Searching and saved searches
  • Integration with Outlook/Word/Excel
  • Create Revisions/Versions
  • Record Relationships
  • File Structure
  • Actions
  • Shortcuts
  • Trays and User Labels
  • Record Requests
  • Sharing Records
  • Customise TRIM to their own preferences

Prerequisites / assumed knowledge

Familiarity with the basic functionality of TRIM.

As this course is specifically about supporting TRIM users in their daily use of TRIM, and is very interactive, we request that staff attending the course send in at least 1 issue/question that they would like to focus on, prior to the start of the course.
