Creating Visuals for your Media Release

Course description

Catching a reader’s eye is challenging when relying on just a few words to explain your research. However, as the saying goes; a picture is worth a thousand words. Visuals, whether in the form of graphics, photos or a video/animation, can convey much more about your research and attract people to read more.

In this session, Traci Klarenbeek, Digital Media Advisor, will provide an overview of:

  • The different types of visuals that can accompany a media release
  • The time needed to make these assets
  • How the media team can help you with visuals to accompany your media release
  • How to best prepare a brief that fits with your creative goals
  • How to take photos of your research for media

Traci will also explain the difference between these visuals and how they enhance the presentation of your research.

There will be time for questions and discussion in this session.

This session will be run online via MS Teams and a link will be sent to you prior to the session.
