Early Career Researcher Forum with the DVC(R)

Course description

The Early Career Researcher Forum with the DVC(R) provides an opportunity for early career researchers (Levels A & Bto come together to discuss the current research environment both nationally and at Flinders. You will hear brief updates from each of our speakers and will have an opportunity to ask questions of them.

Our speakers are:

  • Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), Professor Raymond Chan
  • Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Training and Capabilities) and Dean of Graduate Research, Professor Tim Cavagnaro
  • Chief Research Development Officer, Simon Brennan

At the request of previous attendees, you will also hear from a successful researcher at Flinders about their career. This year's speaker will be Associate Professor Tamara Mackean, who is the most recent addition to the DVCR's Leadership Team as Indigenous Research Lead. Tamara will share her journey as a researcher as well as discuss her new role and priorities for the next year.

Registration is essential. Morning/afternoon tea will be provided. 

This event is not recorded in order to encourage open and frank discussion.
