Pop-up sensory rooms to support student wellbeing
Presenters: Amy Kosandiak and Kate Mitchell / Library
Library recently partnered with the FNSSA (Flinders Neurodivergent Study
Support and Advocacy) Student Group to provision 'pop-up' sensory rooms at
Central, Medical and Sturt Libraries. These have been found to be a much needed
resource for both student and staff wellbeing. In this presentation Amy and
Kate will share how the partnership worked, some feedback on the sensory
spaces, and what we might be able to do next.
Safety and Respect on campus

Robyn will provide an overview of Flinders Safety and
Respect of Campus programs to prevent and respond to Sexual Harassment and
Sexual Assault, and the role of Student Equal Opportunity Advisor.
Student wellbeing initiatives in the MD course

Public Health
Presentation on various student wellbeing initiatives in the MD course e.g.,
personal and professional development theme, learning coach initiative, and
collaborative relationship between MD staff and university Health, Counselling
and Disability services.
Meeting the wellbeing needs of neurodiverse students

This presentation offers valuable insights on the importance, benefits, and practical recommendations for supporting the wellbeing of neurodivergent students at Flinders University.
Staff wellbeing
Presenter: Annabelle Neall / Education, Psychology and Social Work
Universities are evolving unprecedentedly, underpinned by continuous technological advancements, globalisation, and novel working and teaching formats. In this presentation, we’ll discuss how to identify when staff may be experiencing stress and burnout and how we can work towards greater levels of engagement, satisfaction, and overall wellbeing.
