Understanding Research Income: HERDC Information Session

Course description

In this session, Simon Brennan, Chief Research Development Officer, Research Development and Support, will provide an overview of research income according to the Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC).

Specifically, he will discuss:

• What HERDC is
• The distinction between Categories 1, 2, 3, and 4 research funding
• Why researchers need to know about HERDC
• How researchers can ensure their research income is included in HERDC (and why it matters)

There will be time for questions and discussion.

This session will be run via MS Teams and a link will be sent via calendar invitation prior to the session.
