CSE Portable Fire Equipment Training

*Please note this course is only open to CSE members

Bob May Workplace Emergency Training will present a one-and-a-half-hour portable fire equipment training session for nominated staff members or post-graduate/honours students. The session includes the following topics:

Fire Awareness

• Facts about fire

Portable Fire Extinguishers

• Identification of classes of fires
• Types of extinguishers
• Theory in use of portable fire extinguishers and fire blankets

Practical instruction

• Practical use of portable fire extinguishers and fire blankets in a ‘live’ fire situation

*Please note this course does not replace Fire Warden Training

This course is recommended for staff or students working in an area where a fire is likely to occur (ie laboratories with flammable chemicals, use of Bunsen burners etc).
