Introduction to Intellectual Property for Research

Course description

Are you a researchers or research support staff member involved in the creation and management of new technology and intellectual property? Or are you involved in the generation and management of research activity with external companies?

Presented by the Research Commercialisation team at Flinders, join this session to learn about:

  • the basics of intellectual property
  • the different types of intellectual property
  • common misconceptions of intellectual property within a research context 

The session will also touch on key considerations for commercialisation of different types of intellectual property and present some useful case studies to further support understanding of Research IP.

This session will run online via MS Teams. You will receive a calendar invitation with a link prior to the session.
