Training on Jabber and Jabber Guest and how to use it to collaborate with work colleges and external parties.

Jabber

Jabber is a collaboration tool that can be used for instant messaging, real time presence information of work colleagues and desktop sharing.

Flinders University Staff with a video enabled phone can be given access to the Jabber softphone feature enabling users to make and answer calls from their desktop, laptop or their mobile phone.

Jabber Guest

Jabber Guest (Video Chat) will allow any student or other third party outside the University to have a video enabled telephone call with you, directly from their web browser, if they have a webcam, speakers and microphone
