Leading collaborative change

Course description

Navigating the people side of change is a crucial aspect of every leader's role. As the rate and complexity of change increases, leaders need to find new ways of supporting their teams through various professional and personal transitions, many of which are fraught with ambiguity.

The Leading collaborative change program is a one-day foundation workshop for people leaders who wish to develop capability in using leadership strategies to build change readiness and promote clarity, alignment and momentum in complex transitions.

Who should attend

This workshop is funded through the Professional Staff Development Fund and is available to professional staff members only. 

It is part of the ‘Leads Others’ learning stream, which is designed for professional staff who lead others as part of their role.

It is recommended that you speak with your manager prior to enrolling in this workshop as there are late cancellation fees.

What you will learn

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise typical human reactions to change and their impact
  • Adopt strategies that build change readiness in self and others
  • Prepare and pitch a compelling reason for change to enrol others
  • Practice facilitation techniques for shared decision making to embed change
