NHMRC Ideas Grants: Guidelines and Strategic Advice

Course description

This online information session will prepare you to apply for a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Ideas Grant. All researchers who are applying for an Ideas grant in 2025 are encouraged to attend.

Presented by Lucy Sheehan-Hennessy, Senior Research Grant Officer, and Marina Zupan, Senior Research Development Officer, this session will address:

  • Ideas Grant eligibility, guidelines and application process for 2025
  • An overview of the key considerations for a strong application:
    • How to bring together a strong team
    • How to structure your proposal
    • How to write your application
  • Timelines and application support

Marina and Lucy will also be joined by successful NHMRC Ideas recipients who will share tips and insights from their experience applying for Ideas grants. There will be time for questions and discussion. 

Please note: A separate recording of how to use the Sapphire system will be made available to all registered participants.

This session will be run online via MS Teams. A link will be sent to you via calendar invitation prior to the session.
