NHMRC Outreach: Recent Developments in the NHMRC

National Health and Medical Research Council Executive Director Outreach Session

Presented by Julie Glover PhD, Executive Director, NHMRC, this session will provide an update about what has changed in the last few years and what changes they foresee for the NHMRC in the future.

In particular, Julie will discuss: 

• The ins and outs of the current grant assessment process, 
• The new open access policy being implemented in 2024, 
• MRFF and MREA consultation summary,
• Investigator grants and any changes this round,
• Ethics consultation strategy,
• The gender equity strategy (2022–2025) and any feedback on relative success, and
• Any evaluations that they’re undertaking of the recent changes.  

There will be time for questions at the end.
