New Staff Induction

Course description

From February 2018, this online course replaces the Orientation for New Staff: EO, WHS, and Security workshop, and the Employment Conditions workshops for Academic and Professional staff.  

The course contains mandatory content for all new staff at Flinders University as well as links to additional information and resources, including further mandatory training.

The course is presented in five modules:

  1. Welcome to Flinders University
  2. Induction essentials
  3. Employment conditions
  4. Supervision
  5. Course evaluation

All staff must complete Modules 1 - 3.

Staff with supervisory responsibilities are required to complete Module 4.

While Module 5 is optional, we would very much appreciate your feedback.

Who should attend

New Academic and Professional staff members, within 3 months of commencing employment. Supervisory training to be completed within the first 6 months of employment.
