New Staff Induction - online

Course description

The registration link will take you through to Flinders Learning Online (FLO).

  • On the page that says New Staff Induction: Self Enrolment (Student) - click the Continue button.
  • Click the blue 'Enrol me' button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Start the New Staff Induction program.

The course contains mandatory content for all new staff at Flinders University as well as links to additional information and resources, including further mandatory training.

The course is presented in five modules:

  1. Welcome to Flinders University
  2. Induction essentials
  3. Employment conditions
  4. Supervision
  5. Course evaluation

All staff must complete Modules 1 - 3.

Staff with supervisory responsibilities are required to complete Module 4.

While Module 5 is optional, we would very much appreciate your feedback.

Who should attend

New Academic and Professional staff members, within 3 months of commencing employment. Supervisory training to be completed within the first 6 months of employment.

  • Diversity and inclusion

  • Terms and conditions of employment

There are also specialised training modules for new staff with supervisory roles.
