What you will learn

This workshop introduces participants to a structured problem-solving approach.  By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the importance of defining a problem.
  • Choose the right problem to solve.
  • Write a problem statement that states and specifies the problem clearly.
  • Conduct a root cause analysis using the 5 whys and fishbone techniques.
  • Identify and prioritise possible solutions using brainstorming and control impact analysis.
  • List important factors to consider before and after solution implementation.
