Coordinating Large-Scale Bids: A behind the scenes guide

Course description

Are you supporting or leading the development of large-scale, multi-partner research bids or tenders?

These complex funding proposals require strong coordination, early planning, and collaboration across multiple University teams and external stakeholders.

Please join us for this in-person session designed for College-based RDS staff and interested researcher support staff.  The Research Partnerships team will unpack the process of coordinating major bids, including ARC Centres of Excellence, CRCs, and strategic government tenders. You’ll gain insights into how to manage timelines, build collaborations, work across researcher teams and navigate the many internal and external stakeholders involved in bid development.

This session will provide:

  • An overview of key stages: from initial planning to submission
  • Guidance on working with internal stakeholders (RDS, DVCR Office, Commercial, PVCRs, Government Relations, Media, Graduate Studies, and more) and external stakeholders
  • Tips on integrating lobbying, communications, and external consultants
  • Case studies illustrating real-world coordination from concept to submission

There will be time for discussion and questions. Morning tea will be provided.

This session will be held in-person in the Alere Function Centre, L2, Student Hub.

Please email researcher.development@flinders.edu.au if you have any questions.
