HDR Completions Intensive Workshop

Course description

This two-day intensive workshop assists HDR students in their final 6 months of candidature to complete their thesis. It draws on a body of research to present cstudents with practical skills and strategies to assist the writing up process, and an opportunity to apply those strategies in a supported writing lock-in. It also provides useful tools for editing your own work, and outlines the thesis submission processes and requirements.

Day 1 focuses on strategies that are suitable for HDR students who are wanting to finish in the near future. It will show you how to ensure you get the most out of each day, without losing motivation and focus. You will also have the opportunity to apply these skills in a dedicated and supportive writing lock-in session.

Day 2 outlines the thesis submission process, from preparing your thesis for submission to examiners' expectations and administrative processes of submission. Staff  will be available during the day to answer any specific queries regarding thesis submission and examination, and recent graduates will offer their advice and guidance.
