ELSP Module: Grammar
Course description
Improve your understanding of English grammar and your ability to write clear, well-structured sentences. We will help you to identify your own grammatical challenges, suggest strategies for self-editing and proofreading and suggest other helpful resources.

Who should attend
Any domestic or international NESB student who would like to enhance their knowledge of English grammar and learn key grammar concepts for effective academic writing.
What you will learn
This module consists of a series of eight consecutive two-hour workshops focusing on grammar challenges for ESL students. In this module you will be able to:
- build up your grammatical competence and confidence
- learn/reinforce grammatical concepts and structures used in academic writing
- learn how to use a variety of sentences to improve the clarity and rhythm of your writing
- identify and address common grammatical mistakes ESL students make in academic writing
- develop strategic editing and proofreading skills

Prerequisites / assumed knowledge
Students may enroll in up to two ELSP modules per semester.
