Social Media for Researchers

Course description

Social media can be an excellent tool for researchers to promote their research and share it with a wider audience.  

In this session, Karen Ashford - Director, Media and Communications and Simone Palmrose, Social Media and Digital Marketing Coordinator will give an overview of different social media platforms and discuss how to harness social media to promote your research. Karen will also investigate how to effectively engage with audiences to build a following as well as using social media for research impact.

Our presenters will be joined by Flinders’ researchers who are established social media experts and together they will share their experience and advice.

This session is recommended for new or novice social media users who are looking to build their online presence in research.

This session will be run online via MS Teams and a link will be sent you via calendar invitation prior to the session.
