Writing a ROPE for your ARC Grant Applications

Course description

Presented by Tim Haydon, Director, The Write Media Network, this session will investigate how to write the ROPE section of your ARC application (Future and DECRA Fellowships, and Linkage and Discovery Projects).

This session will outline how to craft an ARC research opportunity and performance evidence (ROPE) section including:

  • What the ARC is seeking from applicants
  • How to address career interruptions and what can be included
  • How to select and describe your career highlights
  • How to best describe your research opportunities and amount of time as an active researcher
  • How to best highlight your research impact and contributions to the field
  • How to explain the context of your research outputs
  • How to select and write about your 10 career-best research outputs.
Tim will be available to answer questions.

This session will run via MS Teams and you will receive a link via calendar invitation prior to the session.
