Many researchers are motivated by the possibilities that their knowledge and expertise can contribute to solving challenges that matter, inform policy and industry decisions, or make a difference in the communities they care about.

But navigating the path from academic research to broader application can feel unclear or out of reach.

This is a practical session designed to help you explore how your science could be shared, applied or used beyond academic settings. 

This interactive session will help you:

• Describe the “translation potential” of your current research — even if it’s early stage, fundamental, or highly technical
• Explore practical pathways to share your research in ways that others can act on, fund, or apply
• Learn simple techniques to identify possible use cases, applications, and end-users.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore translation, testing the waters of collaboration, or seeking greater clarity on the future of your research, you’ll walk away with new tools, language, and confidence to take the next step—or decide when not to.
