Course description

Foundations of Impact and Engagement webinar

Learn to clearly communicate the unique value of your research, capability, or technology to non‑technical stakeholders, while honing the ability to shift from technical detail to solution‑focused conversations for stronger engagement outside of your discipline.

This session is designed to be hands-on and highly interactive. Gain practical tools and frameworks you can immediately apply that will help you articulate technical or complex ideas through the lens of end-users and industry/research translation partners. This session is for researchers in any field, at any career stage, who want to expand their toolkit for communicating and connecting effectively with external stakeholders.  

This interactive session will help you:

• clarify who is your ‘target audience’ and what will motivate them to pay attention, engage and connect with you
• apply a repeatable method and framework to frame clear and memorable descriptions of the value of your research and capabilities. 
  

Whether you’re just starting to build connections with stakeholders outside of your discipline or a seasoned communicator with several external collaborations, you’ll walk away with an expanded set of tools and frameworks to enhance your confidence and effectiveness in communicating the value of your research.
