This session is for researchers and students who require support with their Ethics application. The expectation is that you have already finalised the methodology of your project but require assistance with the ethical aspects of it. For human research ethics this will include informed consent, withdrawal rights, justification, and vulnerable participant groups. For animal ethics this will include pain and distress, animal welfare issues and the 3Rs.
You need to bring your laptop and your unsubmitted Ethics application in ResearchNow Ethics. Please note that there will not be a presentation. This is a face-to-face session where you have the opportunity to work one-on-one with the Ethics Office on your application.
University Veterinarian Lewis Vaughan, Research Ethics Officer Camilla Dorian and Hendryk Flaegel, Manager, Research Integrity and Compliance will be present to answer your questions. Please also note that this session is limited to 10 participants. When registering for the session, please include a brief summary of your project.
This will be an in-person session. This will be held in the Research Support Training Room, Registry Basement.
You will receive a calendar invitation and map closer to the date of the event.
